Despite new computation models and the improvement of hardware performance, the memory system is still a stumbling block to achieving a desirable performance with parallel computer systems. In particular, sharing global data in parallel computing may cause substantial performance degradation. Therefore, the efficient handling of shared data structures has been a critical issue in enhancing the performance of parallel computer systems. In this paper, we propose a new model for data access in distributed multithreaded loop execution. This model enhances the efficiency of shared data structure access and improves loop execution performance in the case that the loop has access to remote shared I-structures, which are non-strict data structures proposed to alleviate the limitation of functional languages in data structure handling. In this model the bundled read method allows multiple I-structure elements to be read at one time. This model also provides a new I-structure implementation and compilation techniques which increase the applicability of the model.
